KS‑MASKINER AS (hereinafter “Liftkongen”) wants you as a user to be confident that we safeguard your privacy and process personal data in accordance with applicable law.

Personal data we process
To use our online booking service you must provide your name, address, phone number and email. When you place an order we also store information about the rental period, equipment reserved/ordered and rental times. To use the service you must be at least 18 years old; we request year of birth for verification. We also retain order history linked to your account.

Purpose and legal basis
Personal data is used to:
- administer bookings and perform rental agreements;
- handle payments, deposits, refunds and any claims for damage or late return; and
- communicate with you about orders, service and support.

Processing is necessary to perform the contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to pursue our legitimate interests where applicable (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Payment information and third‑party processing
We do not store card details; payments are processed by Nets/DIBS (PCI‑certified). Transaction data related to orders is stored in our accounting and order management systems. The online booking system is provided by a third‑party supplier, and some data may be processed by service providers (hosting, payment processor, email/services). We do not disclose personal data to other parties for marketing purposes without your consent.

Automatically collected information and third‑party data
We may collect technical information when you use the service (e.g. device type, browser, IP address, location data if enabled, and cookies). Usage information (which equipment you rent, preferences, etc.) may be supplemented with information from third‑party sources where relevant.

Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies to improve the user experience, remember rental dates and available equipment, and cache data such as prices and availability. Some cookies are necessary for the service to function; others are used for analytics and enhanced functionality. You can manage or block cookies via your browser settings, but some features may then be limited.

Storage period and your rights
Personal data is retained while you are a registered user and for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes above, including statutory accounting and warranty retention periods. You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, and to request restriction of processing, object to processing and request data portability where applicable. Deletion and deactivation
If you request removal from our systems, we will delete or anonymize personal data where possible and in accordance with statutory retention obligations. After deletion you will no longer be able to use the service without re‑registering.

Security measures
We have implemented technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration or deletion. Internal access is limited to employees and suppliers who need the data to perform their tasks.

Transfers outside the EEA
When using third‑party services, data may be processed outside the EEA. Such transfers occur only where an adequate level of protection exists (e.g. EU Commission standard contractual clauses) or another lawful basis is in place.
